PIVIT PARGESET is a pre-blended parging mix engineered for parging and finishing concrete block or poured concrete walls. Formulated for superior bonding and a smooth, easy-to-trowel finish, it's the professional's choice for leveling imperfections and providing a durable, protective coating — above and below grade. Packaged in a 25 kg (55 lb) bag.
Professional-Quality Parging with Superior Bond
When foundation walls need a clean, durable finish, PARGESET delivers. This parging mix is pre-blended for consistent quality and engineered for superior adhesion to concrete and masonry surfaces. Apply it up to 10 mm (3/8 in) thick to level imperfections, protect surfaces, and create a smooth, uniform appearance.
Suitable for both above- and below-grade applications, PARGESET is a practical choice for foundation parging, surface leveling, and decorative finishing on residential and commercial masonry projects.
Preparation, Mixing & Application
For concrete block and poured concrete, clean the surface to SSD condition (saturated surface-dry: damp with no standing water) and apply PIVIT BONDFX™ for the best bond. For painted concrete, remove flaking paint, score the surface, and attach galvanized wire mesh mechanically. For wood surfaces, apply Grade D building paper and attach galvanized wire mesh. Mix each 25 kg bag with 4.0 L (4.25 qt) of potable water manually or mechanically until uniform. Apply in layers not exceeding 10 mm (3/8 in) — for thicker applications, roughen the first coat, allow 24 hours to set, dampen to SSD, then apply additional coats. Use a wood, aluminum, or magnesium float for a smooth finish or a broom/brush for texture. Maintain ambient and material temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C (40 °F and 86 °F) for at least 24 hours before and 48 hours after application. Protect from rain for a minimum of 48 hours.
